This is the modified ROM file to turn your Informer 213, which uses IBM 3174 protocol, into an Informer 213AE which uses VT100 protocol. You could then attach this terminal to modern computers such as raspberry pi using a 25 pin RS232 adapter. I have not tested the modem yet but I'm 99% sure it won't operate normally. The modem board for 213 and 213AE are significantlly different. Anyway, I don't think there's someone who still need the modem nowadays XD The ROM was modified from the dumps from an Informer 213AE. The thread for this machine can be found here: https://www.vcfed.org/forum/forum/genres/other/57816-informer-portable-workstation-213-374-208b/page2 Thanks a lot for soviet9922 for uploading the ROM! For the modification, you need one 27256 or compatible EPROM, and one 27128 or compatible. The 27256 is for the firmware and the 27128 is the font library. The original Informer 213 uses a 2764 as font library, but reserved one more address line so it could accept the 27128. If you don't have a 27128, you could still use the original 2764 and program only the first half of the font ROM, which already contains the complete ASCII character set. I can not guarantee the ROM to be fully capable, as I can not test it throughly. However I still hope you could enjoy the nice little machine and the amber looking display.
